Weekend Trip – North Snowdonia
Thursday 16th - Sunday 19th April 2026

The planned Snowdonia weekend for 2026 is offering some challenging and exciting walking planned by Amber. Two full days of mountain type walking will be offered which may include the option of some scrambling. These will be long days with the ascent and descent expected of this sort of terrain. The walking routes will be confirmed nearer the time - we are very happy for suggestions for routes to be sent to Amber if anyone joining the trip has any favourites. There will be a shorter walk on the Sunday to allow for travel home. There are several walks direct from the bunkhouse with Tryfan and Cwm Idwal just 10 minutes drive away.

We will be staying in Caban Cysgu, a purpose built, community run, bunkhouse in Gerlan, near Bethesda, at the foot of the Carneddau mountains. The centrally heated accommodation boasts all the facilities we would expect - including a drying room.

The estimated cost is £168 for group travel and £96 for independents. A deposit of £75 is payable by 16th February 2026.
