Weekend Trip – Loch Lomond and MullSaturday 23rd - Sunday 31st May 2026 We aim to offer the usual style mountain trip to the Loch Lomond, Arrochar Alps area including a trip to the Isle of Mull and Iona these are based in the most southerly highland areas reached by car in a day. There will be opportunity to tackle Munro’s and Corbett’s in the areas also a dramatic coastal walk on Mull and a beautiful walk around Iona. Walking typically 12-15km a day and up to 1000 metres of height gain It is anticipated that this could be a popular trip but places are limited due to the catering and accommodation. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, based on receipt of expressions of interest in reply to this email, with a waiting list being set up once the places have been spoken for. Your expression of interest will need to be confirmed within two weeks with payment of the deposit to secure your place, otherwise it will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. We’ll be traveling up to Inveraray YHA for 4 nights then by Car Ferry to Mull Fionnphort -Staying at Creich hall for 3 nights. We return on Saturday by ferry and stay overnight at a bunk barn near Carlisle. Accommodation : Inveraray YHA, Creich Hall Fionnphort and Hillside farm Bunkbarn On the solway firth near Carlisle. Cost (approx) accommodation, meals, transport and Ferry: £475 Independents would be welcome to join but any vehicle logistics would need to be understood by the organizer beforehand.
