Mulberry Lane, Goring-By-Sea, Worthing, West Sussex BN12 4RN (Directions appear at the bottom of this email) We will be in touch again a week or so before the AGM when we will send out the Agenda, the Reports of the Committee Members and the Minutes of the 2023 AGM (along with a report on the Actions arising out of the 2023 Minutes). Please email Sue any items you would like to be included on the 2024 AGM Agenda. We plan to send this out with a google form for you to complete to confirm your attendance (so we can buy enough wine!) or to give your apologies. Committee Members Most of the current committee members are happy to stand again for another year, however Amber is standing down as Publicity Officer so this role is now vacant. Any nominations for the post will be gratefully received. Malcolm wishes to reduce his commitment by relinquishing the Membership Secretary part of his role and Debbie is happy to put her name forward for this role. Amber has offered to take on the Day Walks coordinator job. Many thanks to these members who are stepping up. We still need to ask though if there are any other nominations for any of the above roles, or indeed for any of the committee posts? All roles and post holders are detailed on the website under ‘about us/Management Committee’. Email Sue please if you have nominations or wish to stand. Photos! Last call please for your photos for Brian to put together the photo montage for the trips (and walks) for the year, for presentation at the AGM. It truly is a wonderful way to review the year. Alison (Club Chair), and Sue (Club Secretary) Directions for AGM (As in previous years): Before you leave home, I strongly recommend that you put the postcode BN12 4RN into Google Maps and look to see exactly where the school is as the signposting and road names all seem to conspire against you (at the time of writing – I think - the road signs still call it “Goring First School” despite it having changed to a Primary many years ago) From Chichester: Go past the left turns for Tesco Express and the petrol station near the roundabout, then take the second left off the A259 onto Mulberry Lane, just past a block of flats as the road bears round to the right. Then take first right into Barrington Road, then first right again into Palmerston Avenue, then first right again (still within Palmerston Avenue) to the school. (If you go into garages, then you took the wrong “first right” at the end) From Worthing: follow the A259 past the Goring Road shops, passing KFC and Sainsbury’s on the left hand side as the road bends round to the right. Take the next right onto Mulberry Lane, then take first right into Barrington Road, then first right again into Palmerston Avenue, then first right again (still within Palmerston Avenue) to the school. (If you go into garages, then you took the wrong “first right” at the end). Once in the car park: face the wall that says “Goring Primary School” with your back to the road, then turn slight left and look for a small gate in the top left-hand corner.
