Day Walk – Benbow Pond, Midhurst
Sunday 16th February 2025
Starting at Benbow Pond, Midhurst. It's on the A272 north of Midhurst.
Departing at 10am, 10 miles. Bring your lunch.
A walk of woods, hills, and good views, probably muddy. We'll head North to Bexleyhill and beyond towards Hurstfold Farm. Then South West to Henley and down towards Easebourne. Then we'll head East back towards the pond via Cowdray Park with it's ancient chestnut trees and Queen Elizabeth Oak, thought to 800 to 1,000 years old.
Please let me know if you're coming so that I know to wait for you.
Public transport: there is a bus from Worthing - Midhurst but you'd have to start horribly early. Suggest anyone who needs a lift gets in touch and I'll see if I can arrange a lift.
The Cowdray cafe a short distance away does a delicious hot choc if anyone fancies it after we finish.
