Evening Walk – Knepp rewilded estateMonday 13th July 2026Meet in Dial Post (parking on roadside near the pub, The Crown) at 6.30 for a 6.45 departure. We will amble around the rewilded Knepp estate, hoping to spot the free roaming deer, longhorns, Tamworth pigs and ponies, with some white storks likely as well. This circular stroll also takes in Shipley windmill and the castle and ruined keep. It’s around 6.5/7 miles and should take 2 hours 10 mins and is more or less completely flat. Please let me know if you would like to join the walk. If the pub is still open we may be able to sneak in for refreshments afterwards, but it does sometimes close early- or we could head to the Red Lion in Ashington. |
