Day Walk – Ashington and Woodlands
Saturday 4th July 2026
A delightful mix of woodlands and meadow, with views of the South Downs and streams to jump into – to please the dogs (well Poppy at least!).
The walk is just over 9 miles long and should take about five hours, plus breaks for coffee and lunch. Please bring a packed lunch.
We can park at the Red Lion (particularly if we plan to have a drink there afterwards) or in the road alongside.
Public transport options - bus 23 from Horsham or Worthing. Please check the timetables.
About the route:
- This is a fairly gentle walk with just under 500ft of ascent
- If the weather looks iffy – too wet or too hot (!) we can shorten the route to 6 miles.
