Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th November
Ventnor, Isle of Wight
Weekend Trip

All Aboard, we’re off to the Isle of Wight!

We are going to stay at the former home of the Victorian Poet Algernon Swinburne, in a beautiful country house just to the East of Ventnor, with direct access to the coast path (and beach!) where we aim to experience another cracking Highdown weekend in style. To keep costs down (as that ferry is rather costly) we are going to be mostly self-catering, but we plan to get Fish and Chips in as we arrive on Friday night.

With such attractions as the Devil’s Chimney, St Boniface Down, known locally as the Ventnor Mountain, Bronze Age Barrows on Luccombe Down, and Steephill Cove (a tiny fishing village hidden below cliffs just west of Ventnor and apparently accessible only on foot) it promises a perfect weekend!
There’s no limit to the number we can take on this trip; we have the place to ourselves and it is quite large!

Don’t forget to pack your passport!
