An annual Club membership fee of £22.50 is payable in January each year.

The Club is affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) and the fee covers general Club expenses, the annual BMC subscription that provides third party liability insurance for the Club and individual Club members, plus the BMC journal “Summit” mailed once a year to their home address. Members who belong to more than one affiliated club can claim a Multiple Membership Refund from the BMC. To qualify for a refund the BMC should receive your claim by 30 June in the year.

The membership fee should be paid by the end of January each year. New members joining on or after 1 July will pay a reduced fee of £14.25 in their first year.

Students

Guests
Guests may participate free for an introductory three months provided that full contact details are registered with the Club. This will ensure that all participants are covered against third party claims on any of the Club’s outdoor trips. Guests who subsequently wish to join the Club must pay any remaining fee due for the year.

The BMC
Club members may also upgrade their BMC affiliate membership and join the BMC as individual members for just £15.20 to obtain personal accident insurance and 4 issues of “Summit” each year. Contact the BMC or see their website for details.
